#5: CVRPG III

This was a pretty meandering story. When I went back over everything I saw a lot I could excise. I did rearrange a couple of things while I was at it, such as when the treasures were found, and by whom. It helps a lot with the setup and keeps things moving quickly. Overall, though, the spirit of the story was maintained in a quick and dutiful fashion.

Of course, there was a lot that I just removed entirely. I ditched basically all the appearances of Link and Bucky just because they were in their store and I never had to get them to the store. The whole plotline of Dracula-cat taking over the town hall and making vampire animals is also gone. And Carmilla going to the hall later to act as a spy, that's also gone. All of it was amusing, none of it was essential.

Oh, also note: this should have been around when CVRPG Meets TMNT could have slotted in (at least it's the latest point in the arc where that would have worked). Naturally since that arc wasn't even in the main archive it wasn't essential, so away it goes. Without it there was no reason to bring in the Two Shredders, either. That's a little sad, but those are the kinds of cuts we have to make here.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
