I'm sure she could pull it off. No one would see the attack coming from a small island nation. And, even if her first strike didn't work, she could simply try again and again. She's apparently immortal at this point, so it's not as if she's pressed for time.

Actually Medusa was the only one of the three Gorgan sisters that wasn't immortal, it's the main reason she fell to evil in the first place ins some tellings. Of course that Medusa didn't have a naga body.
