Death is apparently just not a laughing matter.
The whole speech at the top is both true and not true. As I've discussed in other areas, vampires are powered by a dark magic. That dark magic can manifest in many ways, including a "demonic" form.
But then, if Heaven is powered by light and Hell is powered by dark, the Demons are just embodiments of Dark magic anyway. I gues in a way I haven't violated my own continuity then.
