#3000, Part 5: So Safe

This Comic's Storylines:

Achievement Unlocked!

I knew going in that this format for the comic would, at times, be a bit constraining. This is one of those instances. I have to get a certain amount of plot moving in each sequence and I have to do it within a limited number of panels. Because I had Katrina's screen cross with Darkmoon's, I can use two panels for their story, but I only get those two and they aren't very big. If I can't tell their part of the plot quickly, it's not getting told in that strip.

Plus, of course, I still have to setup a joke somewhere in there. Once again, Angel and Golem do the heavy lifting on that front. I do hope this panel plays. I wanted it to be obvious that a hull breech was sucking at them AND that it was very loud (as you would expect it to be). I dunno if that all comes across (or any of it, for that matter), but it's what I was trying for.

The hull breach pulling at Golem and Angel was immediately obvious, yes. And therefore, the fact that it's gonna be LOUD is logically sound, thus Golem not hearing Angel. ...is it just me, or are those two becoming the comedic focus more and more?

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
