#2731: Fusion Achieved

She's not here to make you feel better. She's here to do wild magic and eat catnip, and she's all outta catnip.

So some people apparently find Sprockets to be an unlikable character. I don't know how I'm writing her that people don't like -- it's not just because she's new since Claypool is also new and people seem to like him.

Whatever the case, I'm going to have to pay attention to her tone moving forward, try to find a way to soften her character so she's not hated, since Sprockets is sticking around for a while.

Unless I kill her. I do that from time to time.

I guess Sprockets is kind of pushy and doesn't seem overly friendly, and we just don't know much about her other than that. Seemingly stealing Darkmoon's ship doesn't help much in that regard. But I'll be able to judge her character more fully once Darkmoon returns and they sort out the ship ownership issue.

Yeah, Sprockets, it's was so safe that someone completely unrelated to Darkmoon's team blew your last ship up. The remote chance of making yourself go some version of boom is obviously well worth diminishing the risk of someone else making you go boom. I don't like Sprockets because she is incredibly self centered. Just because she makes Angel look responsible and Darkmoon look selfless, doesn't mean I don't think she's a good addition to the comic though. She's here to create conflict and maybe once some things have been settled and her character has been fleshed out more she'll actually appear to be a halfway-decent person. I mean, with the possible exemptions of Claypool and Bunny no one on the crew is anything more than halfway-decent anyway. Claypool seems to be fairly good-natured and even-tempered. A good foil for the rest of the party. Sprockets doesn't even seem to be a particularly different brand of unsavory compared to the rest though. Characters like her take some getting used to and development. That's my take on it anyway. Oh, yeah. Darth Cariss hass a real good point there. The sorting of the ship is going to be key. Also defiling a ship 800+ years old.

Oh, I have plans for when Darkmoon gets back.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
