And thus we come to the end of Super Special Comic 1750. This "comic" was inspired by 22 Short Films about Springfield, one of the best and most popular Simpsons episodes. In it, we see various short stories about the citizens of Springfield that twist and turn and mix through each other as the episode goes on.

That structure served as a basis for this comic, although I pushed it a step further to try and ensure that each comic told its own, separate story from any plotline that came before. I really wanted it to be 26 Short Films (since 26 comics would nicely end the "strip" at the end of the week, which I'm so anal retentive about doing) fully and completely, so each story had to be separate (something the Simpson's episode didn't do).

The episode in question was itself based on the film Thirty One Short Films About Glenn Gould. I haven't seen that movie but it is divided into 32 segments, each (from what I can tell) separate from the other sections. One day I should watch it just to see what the film is like.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
