While the series is called "Metroid", the metroids themselves are like a horror villain -- rarely seen and used to build tension. The thing is, though, most of the metroids in the series aren't all that hard to fight. Sure, the evolved metroids from Metroid II can prove tough (especially late in the game), and some of the Phazon-enriched metroids can be pests in Metroid Prime (not to mention the controller-throwing final boss), but really, for a series called "Metroid" the titular aliens don't have much of a presence in the series.
When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
