You wouldn't happen to have read the Incarnates of Immortality series by Piers Anthony, have you? I got a rather strong flashback to the Incarnate of Evil transition reading this comic.

Actually, no. I've read a few of his books, but that wasn't a series that ended up on my reading list.

You're missing out, Mike. I think it's his best. Especially the first book.
