The USA and England are not democracies. USA is a republic and England is a constitutional monarchy. Love your comic though

At its most technical, no, neither country I list are true democracies -- each person has a vote in everything. We use representational democracies (republics, constitutional monarchies) because most people are dumb and can't be bothered to pay attention to issues that matter (let alone vote on them).
