As I said, why would Darkmoon actively fight two villains when the two of them will fight each other and Darkmoon can the fight the weakened single baddie, once the dust settles. It's not good strategy, and while Darkmoon sucks in a fight, and sucks at finding his way to a fight, and sometimes gets greedy and ignores the fight to go exploring for treasure, he does know good strategy.
