I thought about having Sprockets offering to share the tech -- everything that makes Gertie work -- but people untrained in magic using this volatile tech seems like a bridge too far. They'd likely blow up whole star systems just testing it out, and that's before they even used it for battle (or subjugation, or war). Better if Gertie is the only ship of her kind and leave it at that.
