As we established back in CVRPG IV, Darkmoon is very protective of his color. No one else on his team is allowed to wear red, and he only grudgingly lets Dracula use the color at all (and really, for ol' Bathead, it's more of a red-brown). The easiest way to make Darkmoon angry to wear (or use) red around him.
