I dunno why they're so hung up on not taking the stairs. I mean, Angel showed it's possible. I just think it's a funny quirk to think that they've so quickly settled into being on a ship and having a convenient elevator. I'm sure we'll get past this quick.
Just remember, at the end of battle it's only cool to take the spoils off corpses when the bodies vanish and there's a victory fanfare. Otherwise it's just looting.
