We haven't, as yet, been shown that Katrina and Claudette are completely separate. In theory, Claw is still controlled and fueled by Katrina's magic and if Katrina says for her to do something, Claw has to do it. Of course there's also the fact that if, somehow, Katrina died, Claudette would presumably die too.
Although I don't have any interest in testing the latter point at this juncture, I am curious about the former...
