Well, yeah, they do have some pretty big guns on their ships, not to mention those behemoth ships that have lurking around in space. One would think they wouldn't need the Siren to assist. Well, unless those other ships are out in other sectors of space.
I guess not having a magic-powered A.I. on those ships does limit them some.
