#2820: The Real Presentation

One thing we haven't really seen in the comic, so far, are non-humanoid aliens. This would be one of those. He also happens to be the Fleet Admiral for the Stalkers (or, at least, that's what I call him in my head -- we haven't really established Stalker Ranks yet). I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him down the road.
But yet, not everyone in this comic will be human (or human-ish). Only stands to reason, right?
I blame my wife for this scene, as it was her idea. Still, for those of you outside the United States, Open Enrollment is a yearly ordeal most employees here have to go through -- businesses run something like it (usually called "Open Enrollment") each year for the employees to choose their health plans for the following year. It's tedious and dumb, since socialized, single-payer systems are just better.
I like the thought that even in the future we can't get our shit together.
When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
