Bear in mind that while Sprockets has seen the ship cast some powerful magic, she may not clearly understand that what the ship did may not be it's full potential when it comes to magic. Sprockets is not a magic user so trying to wrap her head around all that magic can do will be hard for her for a while.
I do like that shaky effect I pulled off. Reminds me of Star Trek.
