If we're going by video game logic, most of the NPCs will look the same (just simple palette swaps). We may have upgraded the art-style, but I still want this series to have that video game feel.
Just consider it an upgrade from 16-bit graphics to, what, 32 or 64? Something like that.

The "game feel" is very much reminding me of Tales of Symphony now, and that's a compliment, because I love that game. :)

They only look the same because they don't have name tags and the hats and cloths cover up their distinguishing feature... things...
