No, the snakes in the desert are lanmola. I looked it up. Moldorm is the big swirly boss in the Tower of Hera.

Actually, we're both right. In the original game the snakes were Moldorm. That name was applied to the swirly boss in Link to the Past and the snakes in the desert were then Lanmola. Stupid Zelda series.
