#2231: Team Up?
So I have had some people mention that I don't seem to treat Alucard very fairly in CVRPG. They feel he's too much of an egotistical jerk, one that only hits on girls.
To be fair, the Castlevania series set up that "Alucard loves blonds" jokes. He went after Maria, Sonia, seemed to have a bit of connection with Sypha (before Trevor cock-blocked him), and even had a bit of a flirt with Yoko. Come on, that joke is just way too easy. Konami did all the setup work for me.
So yeah, I went with a couple of traits of his. He is aloof, and he has a sworn mission to take out Dracula, and he likes blonds. If he's not hiding in his grave, he's either out fighting evil (and doing a damn good job of it) or chasing some blonds (and doing a damn good job of it).
Besides, Alucard makes out like a bandit in this series. I made Richter a womanizing drunkard, perhaps the single most evil character in the whole multiverse. And, as far as completely changing character motivations, I made Dracuka gay! (Not that I have anything against gay people, of course, but Dracula has never been gay in any of his media... although that cloak is fabulous...)

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
