#1364: One More

This Comic's Storylines:

Achievement Unlocked!

Here comes the third member of the team (since apparently original recipe Darkmoon doesn't count). I included Samus for her color (iiterally the color yellow of her armor, which we'll get to in a couple) as well as because I hadn't done much with her and I felt like giving her a chance to breathe outside of her pairing with Nathan.

This was another time were I took reader comments to heart. Some had argued that Samus wasn't enough like her video game counterpart -- too dark, too blood thirsty, not heroic enough. As I've said in the past (and some readers have agreed with), Samus is a bounty hunter, and you don't get into that line of work because you're a compassionate individual. If you're a bounty hunter something about a life on the road, hunting down targets for cash appeals to you.

But that doesn't mean she can't have her heroic moments and with this storyline I made an attempt to at least make her a slightly broader, more realized person.

Aw. I feel like what this Samus would do would be to show the audience a broader, more realized missle. Up close.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
