Princess is a very aggressive woman. I think that about her. One would assume, from the pink dress and the princess-y nature of her that she would be meek and demure. Screw that noise. We like strong women here.
Plus, it's just nice subverting a trope like that. Princess may have started as the damsel in distress, but if anyone is going to be in distress now, it's whoever is standing across from her.
