#253: Castle Defenses

This Comic's Storylines:

The Castlevania games have gotten progressively easier since the days of yore. Super Castlevania IV is usually pointed at as the game where the games got much easier, but really, even though SCV4 was easier, it wasn't terribly so. It was still hard in places, and there were a few battles that the player had to do over (and over and over and over) before they finally managed to get through the game.
No, really, Symphony was the first game that was so easy anyone could beat it. The games since have danced around just how easy they would be, but they were all still much easier than SCV4.
Of course, Symphony probably takes place after CVRPG in the grand timeline (probably, as I feel no need to specify when the comic happens) so I really have no excuse.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
