Elizabeth Bartley
This Comic's Cast:
Normally during these comics and commentaries I'd take the time to discuss the character as they appeared in the series and how that related to Castlevania and, in some cases, history and pop culture as well. Elizabeth, though, is a weird case. While she's technically shown up in a number of comics, she's never had a huge role in the series. That's entirely because she has only ever had one sprite. Literally she's bested even Cornell, who as we all know is the master of never moving.
That's the issue I had when crafting a cast comic for her. She doesn't do much in the series, and, really, when you look at the Castlevania series as a whole she's had almost as little impact there as well. She showed up in one game and then vanished from the series entirely. So... maybe that's really how we should think of her. A one hit wonder everyone promptly forgot about.
When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
