#322: Strategic Retreat

It's been clearly established in Castlevania continuity that it takes time for Dracula's power to grow. If the heroes made it through the castle too quickly, Dracula wouldn't be powerful enough to defend himself. It's best if he flees just to give his power time to build.

I still say a Castlevania game where you could fight Dracula at any time or adventure around the countryside, realizing that the longer you take to enter Dracula's Castle the more power his builds... that would be a damn interesting game.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
