So, I won't deny I had to think on this comic for a little while. On the one hand, I do think Darkmoon deserved some kind of slap upside the head (and a gut punch was way easier to draw in this style). He did abandon Cyn to go off and save the world without her. Ride or die together and he didn't let her come along. So I get her reaction, and they are all basically part of the warrior class. I also had the thought that he does seem to like aggressive women, so this all clicked in that regard.
I just also worried that this seemed like an abusive relationship and I didn't want it to come across like that. This is probably a one time thing (discounting any kinks in the bedroom they may have and we don't judge). I dunno if that makes it sound better or not, but I also didn't change it, so...
Just to be on the safe side I had my wife read it. She totally didn't pick up on what I was worried about. She was just impressed Cynthia got 35 damage off a 900 year old vampire with a gut punch so... take that as you will.
When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
