I really was just going to make the ship into a sub. And then it occurred to me how shitty and idea that might really be. Astronauts may be able to practice underwater and get a feel for the weightlessness of space, but the pressure deep of space is very different from the pressure under water.
At least, I'd expect so. I'm not a scientist, so maybe I have this all wrong, but too late now. We're committed to this line of thought.
And also: intelligent jellyfish because why not?
