#3074: Hard Shift

I read a Star Trek book once about Zephram Cochran and his development of the first warp drive (I'm pretty sure this was before the First Contact movie came out). In it, the book discussed the development of the inertial dampeners and how the first warp-capable ships could go to warp very quickly because the human body couldn't take the strain.
There's a bit of that in this strip.
