In a game this would be the point where I would quicksave, butcher everyone, and quickload. Nothing worse than graceless, ungrateful, NPCs that try to force you to do what they want. No matter how correct they may be in their desires.

They did just kinda save the entire planet, maybe? Assuming the Fairy King was responsible for all of the woes. I would think a thank you might suffice.
