At first glace I thought this slug was from Chrono Trigger, but then I relized it was just the little spiny slug enemies from Secret of Mana. Plainly Square reuses a lot of their ideas. Plus, come on, with hundreds of enemies in games, its hard to come up with a lot of new ideas.
It's part of why I've been able to find some many Castlevania enemies in the Mana series. Bats, werewolves, vampires -- they're gonna show up everywhere.
