#1163: Legends of Underdark

We don't need to get into the specifics of Dungeons and Dragons and all the weird magic that happens around drider creation. Suffice it to say that there are regular elves and there are dark elves -- the drow. The drow live in caves and under mountains, and they're evil. Gothic and emo and evil.

Driders are an evolution of the drow through some magical means. It baiscally creates a drow-taur -- upper body of a drow elf attached to a giant spider's body. It's creepy looking, but I never though it all that effectual. Certainly you wouldn't be able to blend into society with a body like that.

Nice Lufia backgrounds. Looks like Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals rather than Lufia and the Fortress of Doom. Also, in most D&D settings becoming a Drider is /technically/ a Holy ceremony, as it requires gaining the favor of the goddess the Drows worship, and as such within the right community being a drider inherently commands a tremendous amount of respect and awe. In those setting types it is normally purely restricted to the females as Drow society is severely matriarchal in nature, almost Amazonian.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
