Chiroptera being the scientific order for bats. I'm not sure if Darkmoon knowing that is anachronistic or not, since some kind of scientific ordering was in place as far back as the ancient Greeks.
Attacking bats does seem like as bad of an idea as attacking chickens in this comic -- neither is going to end well, now.
