Mummy looks so flat here. I eventually re-shaded him to give him more depth and color, but right now he's still mostly in his converted palette from a Link to the Past.
Frankie isn't entirely wrong, though. The boss fight against him was not originally planned for two sections into the castle. Each "stage" of Gaiden would have consisted for five areas, and we're only two in. The boss fight should be in another three sections. Gives Frankie time to limber up.
I don't remember if the boss fight ever happens, though, I think I got bored with the story at that point and did a jump-cut eventually. That's one way to solve momentum problems.
