#786: Trade?
Presumably the sword is an upgrade for Link, but that's not a guarantee. Sometimes Link gets two different sets of whatever (armor, for example) that each have specific powers, but should only be used in certain instances.
In this case, the sword may be a fine sword, but really only good against the Devil. Link's normal sword may be a better sword all around, and Bucky is just being short sided.
I love have the sword fits nicely along Bucky's wing. That wasn't expected, and wasn't planned when the sword was first drawn, but it's a happy coincidence that works really nicely.
