Seriously, do enemies sit around swallowing giant gems? Are they like magpies? Do they have to collect shiny objects (in this case, by ingesting them)?
In all fairness, I HAD to do a joke like this at one point. The Zelda games were just asking for me to mock the "every enemy has items" mentality.
