Of course, it's an RPG staple. Any time you go into a town, you check all the houses to see if there are any closets or cabinets you can open, and loot all the random treasure chests you can find. It's such a trope, some games will even penalize you for looting townspeople before asking (or somehow getting authorization otherwise).
