Gertie
Conceptually, giving Sprocket's ship a A.I. just makes sense. She needed someone to talk to, and if I ever focused any comics on just her and her ship, two characters is easier to write than just one (because I love dialogue and you need two characters for a proper back-and-forth). Thus, Gertie was born.
Gertie is a lot like Claudette, really. They're both entities created by happenstance that grew to be their own fully fledged entities. And they're both sarcastic, take-no-shit women. It seems like those are the kinds of characters I like to write.
When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
