Frankie and Mummy have a lot of these kinds of arguments. Mummy is quite touchy when it comes to perceived slights against his nature and his "disabilities".
I like trying to write their conversations in such a way so as to reveal as much as I can about what Mummy said without actually having Frankie just repeat his words verbatim. I don't always succeed as well as I'd like, but it's what I try for.
