#9: Silent Movie

This Comic's Cast:

This was the requested "Silent Movie" riff. The fans were appreciative of the fact that I put it into black and white, which you really have to do if you're gonna have a silent movie. Gives it the right ambiance.
Sure, I coulda sepia toned it, too, but this looked good enough.
The thing about black and white art, as this comic shows, is that it's easy for the characters to get lost against the background. There's a reason why, during the silent film era, the sets (even the people) used to be painted all kinds of unrealistic colors just so that they'd show up, nicely, in the black and white footage.
In other words, I shoulda recolored the sprites to accomodate the fact that the artwork was going to be black and white. Ah well.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
