#3944: One Shot, Two Shot

This Comic's Storylines:

There was a bit of lively discussion about how plausible this whole plan would be. Why aim a beam at the Earth when (a) it couldn't possibly hit (as Space is really big and empty), (b) the beam would have to go faster than light to get there, and (c) likely it would just radiate out and lose power as it traveled. Although I didn't address item c (because that's way more discussion than I have time for in the comic), in my head this was all addressed by "something something magic handwave". Still, it came up so I wanted to address it and cover my bases. I like making sure that despite this comic being a silly little fantasy strip we do at least acknowledge the implausibility of some scenarios.

That said, if you came to CVRPG for hard sci-fi this wasn't the place. It may not be as full of inaccuracies and space wizards as Star Wars but that's only because I've kept the scope small. I'm sure I could fuck up way worse than this if I tried.

Meanwhile, as we saw, the Earth was going to get destroyed by a cataclysmic event. Blacula said as much a while back as Sprockets and her crew were on that blasted out Earth. Can't argue with fate.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
