Oh she’s definitely a badass that does what needs doing. But there’s lore that shows she doesn’t take just any job, and has a strong moral code instilled by her adoptive Chozo parents. Wild animals threaten her? She’d at least beat them down, probably kill if there wasn’t a compelling moral reason not to. But she’d still avoid hurting anyone that didn’t need putting down too, and protect civilians when she can. Hell, that’s more badass to me. It’s easy to turn a cold shoulder, but tough to do the right thing and back it up.
