This is the important fact that people need to be reminded of: in CVRPG II we established that if the good heroes kill the bad versions of themselves (or vice versa), it could have devastating consequences on the universe. That was the rule, although we have to assume that if the people die of natural causes, like with Alec and Princes dying in the main universe due to old age, that didn't have devastating consequences...
Really, it's a fast and loose rule. More of a guideline.
