#3002: Helpful Advice

This really related back to a previous discussion we had in Game Five (2499) about how to address female soldiers. I erred on the side of "sir" and "men" simply because that's what I saw in space shows and movies, but apparently that convention dropped out of favor (if it was ever really a thing to begin with in the real world). So now I get to over-correct in humorous fashion.

Also, isn't it just our way to promise a big space battle and then just talk instead?

There's also soldiers, spacers, hunters, cadets, mangy sods, whatever you may care to call a group. . . But from my experience 'guys' is typically treated as universal. Hell, he could have gone with 'group.' It's mere presence actually makes the second use of 'men' redundant already. Good going D, Uselessly extending your speech to fill your time quota. Speeches are the worst. Talk fast and you lose points. Talk slow and you look like an idiot. Hate.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
