As I've established way back, Dracula did protect his trademark in the past. He sued, and eventually defeated, Count Olrox, making Olrox his minion. This is, of course, based on the fact that (a) Olrox is based on the character of Count Orlock who was (b) a direct copyright infringement of Count Dracula.
