To be fair it was never made clear to the heroes that Evie was a vampire minion of Dracula. However, what they did already know was that she went to Dracula's castle and was never heard from again. Couple that with the fact that she is clearly a vampire now and keeps talking about how she is serving her Master, and it's not hard to put the pieces together and make the leap of logic Golem made.
