Nope, Link and Richter don't move at all during this mini-arc. Very economical that way.
Technically Link does keep all his outfits. In At least one Zelda game I can think of (Ocarina of Time) switching outfits was actually essential -- you had to switch to the red suit to survive intense heat, while the blue suit let you breathe in water. Since both were better (in abilities) than the green suit (which was just a suit) I always bummed around in blue (except when I was in a fire area). I like blue.
Green is superfluous, so I have no doubt Link would pawn it off.
