#1318: A Proper Skirmish
Since Shaft went incorporeal we haven't seen him to much magic. He did cast the Black Mass Ritual , but otherwise has been largely reserved in is magic use. It's plain that he COULD attack the heroes with magic, but maybe he has to conserve it to keep his form in some sort of an active state (and not just a collection of neurons scattered to the winds).
That or I forgot I had him cast a spell earlier when I wrote this comic. That's a possibility, too.
