#1292: Searching for a Way
Well, he managed to get one step ahead, even if he's still back where he started. That's the thing about magic -- you can never be sure where it will lead you.
To be fair, though, this puzzle is a lot nicer than some that I've experienced in RPGs. One GOD elected to have a dungeon that shifted, silently, around us so that any chalk marks we made on walls would quickly become irrelevant. His defense was "the last party I ran through this dungeon drew a map!" as if that would somehow have helped.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
