Well, her novels were, generally, comedies -- satires of "proper" living. I guess they could be considered "lively" (although I tend to be bored by them, myself -- the closest I can get to Jane Austen is through modern interpretations, such as the movie Clueless).
Unfortunately, Jane Austen published her works after the supposed start for this webcomic. I guess we'll have to attribute some sort of temporal rift for this to work (or we just ignore it because Dracula gets to be funny and get away with shit like this).

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
