I do love the back and forth banter. I always remember Darkmoon and Alec doing it, but apparently Katrina was a more frequent participant than I realized.
Much as the heroes make a good point here, the theory may be to simply raise Dracula, even if its only for a few seconds. If he's brought back to life once, it can easily be done again (Dracula does have that gift about him, when he's not well and truly gone).
